For more than 135 years, we have stood up for human rights. At moments when those values are tested, it matters more than ever that we stand together and reaffirm what we believe in.
Facts matter. Immigrants and refugees are vital contributors to our communities. Housing First works. And Chicago’s strength has always been its identity as a welcoming city—one where everyone belongs.
Standing together means speaking out and showing up—for our neighbors, our communities, and one another. This moment calls for shared responsibility and shared courage.
We’re celebrating the people and places that make Chicago home—for everyone. Above are the faces of colleagues and human rights heroes who build belonging every day. Below are clear facts about the people and communities we serve and support.
Please stand with us and help spread FACTS.
- In 2024, Chicago’s immigrant population reached nearly 600,000, becoming a major economic force, contributing over $20 billion in taxes, filling critical labor shortages in STEM, manufacturing, and hospitality, while also driving entrepreneurship.
- The Heritage Foundation’s database of election crimes lists only 24 instances of noncitizens voting in U.S. elections for the two decades from 2003-2023.
- Immigrants in the United States—including undocumented immigrants—are less likely to commit crimes or be incarcerated than the U.S.-born.
Let’s Stand Together for Chicago and:
- Share facts and stories of hope
- Volunteer to lift up Chicago communities
- Donate to support vulnerable neighbors
Thank you to our partners and supporters for speaking out and showing up. Together we are stronger!
