What Do Volunteers Do?
Travelers Aid Chicago volunteers staff the information desks or walk the terminals in O’Hare’s domestic terminals, assisting more than 500,000 passengers each year. Our information desks are the front line, giving those in crisis a place to turn when they need it most.
Volunteers’ time is spent:
- Walking the terminals, searching for passengers in need
- Providing direction to lost and confused travelers
- Sharing information about the airport and Chicago
- Assisting vulnerable passengers with special escorts on to their next destination
